Dr. Kim Batterson


Dr. Kim Batterson has been practicing orthodontics since 2002. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree and her dental degree. After dental school, she went on to complete a post-doctoral specialty program at the University of Iowa in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. This is where she earned her Master of Science degree and received her Orthodontic Certificate. A board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Batterson feels it is important to stay abreast in the latest advances in orthodontics. She has special interests in treating craniofacial anomalies (cleft lip/palate), orthognathic surgery, and the use of temporary anchorage devices (TADS) to assist in treating malocclusions.

Dr. Batterson is an active member of the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Colorado Dental Association. She is in several study clubs, including the Seattle Study Club and the Colorado Springs Orthodontic Study Club. She currently serves on the Council for Orthodontic Healthcare (COHC) for the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists.

Dr. Batterson and her husband, David, have two children, Abigail and Jack. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and all the opportunities the outdoors has to offer, like running, biking and skiing. Dr. Batterson is also involved in sponsoring local events around the community. This includes, Kokopelli Kids, an annual running series that teaches children of all ages that running is fun and rewarding.
