Dr. Kim Batterson
Dr. Kim Batterson has been practicing orthodontics since 2002. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree and her dental degree. After dental school, she went on to complete a post-doctoral specialty program at the University of Iowa in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. This is where she earned her Master of Science degree and received her Orthodontic Certificate. A board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Batterson feels it is important to stay abreast in the latest advances in orthodontics. She recently was awarded the Lucy Hobbs Innovator of the Year Award for her research and new approach to treating patients that should be considered for jaw surgery. Instead, now they can be given the option for a less invasive approach to treat their skeletal discrepancy.
Dr. Batterson is an active member of the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Colorado Dental Association. She is involved in several study clubs, including Spear and ITI. In addition, she is actively involved in a nationwide study club called the Angle Society of Orthodontists. She regularly meets with orthodontists from all over the country but more specifically the southwest part of the United States.

Dr. Batterson and her husband, David, have two children, Abigail and Jack. They love living in Colorado with all the outdoor opportunities it offers. They enjoy backcountry skiing, mountain biking and climbing fourteeners as a family. Now that her children are in college, she is enjoying traveling any free time she gets.
